Create the most talked-about design of the year

Time is running out to submit your entry for this year’s Excellence Awards Design Contest, the annual opportunity for you to dazzle Minnesota’s publishing industry with style and substance, wit and weight, value and versatility.

The winning poster design will promote MMPA’s Excellence Awards throughout the year, and the winning designer is credited with every use. Your name may not be in lights, but it will definitely be on paper, online, and in front of admiring co-workers, friends and employers.

You’ll also be recognized at this year’s awards gala on November 10 at Aria, with the presentation of a crystal award from the stage. But the March 4 deadline is approaching fast—we need that design to get ready for this year’s Excellence Awards entries.

Entries should follow these specifications:

Size: 8.5 inches x 11 inches

Color: Should be full-color. If your design wins, it will serve as the basis for all other marketing materials, so designs that include an entire palette of colors will be given extra consideration.

Copy (must include all of the following—but you may choose to add more):

  • Minnesota Magazine & Publishing Association
  • 20th annual Minnesota Publishing Excellence Awards
  • November 10, 2016
  • Aria, Minneapolis, MN
  • CALL FOR ENTRIES

Art: Must include a copy of the MMPA logo—either in color, black and white, or reversed. Logo files are here

Deadline:
Submit entries as PDFs. The winner must submit native files. Email entries to Mary Pat McGlynn at mmcglynn@intrinxec.com by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 4.

We’ll notify the winner in mid-March. Good luck!
