Excellence Awards gala registration now open

Entries have been submitted, judges’ scores are in, and soon those gleaming award plaques will be presented during this year’s MMPA Excellence Awards gala on Thursday, November 10. Online registration for the magazine industry’s party of the year is now open at www.mmpa.net.

In a few weeks, we’ll let you know if you’re among this year’s winners—although you’ll have to wait until the night of the gala to find out exactly where you’ve conquered the competition. But there’s no need to wait to make your reservations for the annual celebration.

It’s a night for revelry as we return to a stunning venue: Aria, in the heart of the Minneapolis Warehouse District. It’s also an opportunity to win weekend getaways, fine wines, special event tickets and more in MMPA’s annual silent auction—all while helping to support MMPA educational programming. Plus, drawings throughout the evening promise special prizes, just to keep everybody on edge.

Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres begin at 5:30 p.m. At 7 p.m., emcees Emily Engberg and Mike Marcotte of Twin Cities Live will start summoning you to the podium to accept your awards. And as our evening draws to a close, the gala culminates with the announcement of the 2016 Magazine of the Year award.
